It’s the Cleo Skirt Summer Showcase…

…and I’ve got a pattern to give away!

Last fall I got the opportunity to be a pattern tester for the new Made by Rae Cleo skirt pattern. Of course, I said yes and quickly fell in love with the Cleo Skirt.

I love it so much that I used a carefully hoarded piece of rayon Priory Square by Katy Jones for Art Gallery. I think I’ve had it in my stash for almost 3 years! I may have a problem with saving fabric.

I should also mention that I’m now 29 weeks pregnant-so I made one size up than I usually would wear. I thought I might need to lengthen the front skirt portion, but I like the way it turned out so the pattern is as-is! I’ve been reluctant to sew during this pregnancy since it feels like the clothes won’t get much wear, but this will most likely fit for a long time. And I didn’t have to do any hacks.

I chose the midi-version with the pockets from the shorter version. I love pockets that are sewn into the waistband-no floppy pockets for me! I also love that the front waistband is flat. It gives this skirt a more polished look. I’m so pleased with this version that I’m going to wear it to an art opening tomorrow night. Believe me-I’ve been wearing the same 4 dresses for the last 4 months and having a new outfit is a luxury right now. I’m going to work it!

In celebration of the Cleo Summer Tour, I’ve got a paper copy of the pattern to give away. So if you want a chance to win-just leave me a comment below and I’ll draw a winner on August 10.

Be sure to check out all the great skirts on the tour:
